It’s OFFICIAL! Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez to begin shooting for Race 3 from October

After all those speculations, confirmations and denials, it is now cemented that Race 3 is going to star Salman Khan, with Jacqueline Fernandez playing the female lead. And now we have more sordid details about the movie. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Salman and Jacqueline will begin shooting for the movie from October this year, and the preparations for the sets are already underway in Mumbai.

TIPS’ Ramesh Taurani, the producer of the Race franchise, had spoken to the paper where he revealed more details about the shoot. He confirmed Salman and Jacqueline will be a part of the first schedule and they are yet to cast other actors in the movie. He said, “As of now, Salman and Jacqueline have been finalised for the lead while Remo D’Souza is directing it. We are yet to lock the rest of the cast and crew. We start shooting on a set in Mumbai in October, followed by a long international schedule. We are currently figuring out the dates and foreign locations. The story is set abroad and will be completely different instead of taking off from the previous two films.”

With the last sentence, he also confirmed that Race 3 will take a different path from what the first two movies of the franchise took, and will tell a different story. So don’t expect Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in Race 3 (sadly…it would be interesting to see Saif take on Salman), but perhaps we can hope to see Anil Kapoor’s fruit chomping sleazy detective in the threequel. Interesting Jacqueline Fernandez was one of the female leads in Race 2, along with Padukone. The first two movies were directed by Abbas-Mustan, while the upcoming movie will be directed by Remo D’Souza, who was supposed to direct Salman in the dance movie, Go Daddy.

The makers of Race 3 also plan to use the popular title track and re-work it with the new leads for the movie. Watch this space for more updates about this interesting and exciting project…
